We present to you the rental of private Forsyth Island covering 750 hectares. It is located between the North and South Islands of New Zealand, in the beautiful sunny area of Marlborough Sounds. Forsyth Island is situated approximately 20 minutes by helicopter from the capital city of Wellington, or 50 minutes by boat from Havelock Harbour.
The view from Forsyth Island provides one of the most beautiful seascapes, from the deep blue depths of the ocean, above which impressive sea cliffs arise, to the densely wooded ridges of neighbouring islands sloping into picturesque sandy bays. The island itself overflows with lush vegetation of endemic species of flora and fauna, including the New Zealand national symbol, the Kiwi bird.
The diversity of local Nature, without the presence of dangerous or poisonous species, will certainly be appreciated by all visitors to this magical island, which also offers plenty of adventure activities. The crystal-clear waters of the Pacific are ideal for a variety of water sports and dolphin-watching boat trips. The many kilometres of trails around the island are perfect for hiking and cycling. There is also the option of visiting a local farm which breeds sheep and cashmere goats.
Accommodation on the island is very comfortable, in a new, modern 3-bedroom log cabin with surface area of 240 m², located on a hillside above a bay with stunning ocean views. A second option is a 1-bedroom cabin located directly on the coast. There is a choice of self catering or full board accommodation. The latter includes cuisine comprising local ingredients, including freshly caught fish and seafood, as well as New Zealand’s best wines.
